My mother painted the living room and will be painting for a few days. My piggy is in my room which is connected to the living room directly. At night, I'm not allowed to close the door so the smell is coming in. Will my guinea pig be okay? I have my window open and my air purifier on as well.

I would ask your mother to let you close the door at night for a few days. The smell won't be nice for you either.

I agree; please keep the door closed as much as possible and air your room thoroughly. Water based paints are no so bad, but they still give me a headache each time I paint; and it is even worse for guinea pigs with their small lungs and their sensitive nose!

I always move the piggies into another room and keep the door closed if I do that and only move them back into the room after it has been thoroughly aired.
