I posted a while ago about my two boars having a fallout - one is nearly 4 years (Six) and the other about 6 months (Cap). They got on ok when first introduced but had a proper fight with blood being drawn about a month ago.

They've been living side by side in a C&C cage and interact with each other through the bars, sniffing each other and rumblestrutting!

They both seem a bit moodier now they're apart, Six has taken to sleeping in the open rather than in his hidey places and Cap is a bit more withdrawn and won't come straight away when you have food.

Is the split cage arangement an acceptable solution, or will they get lonely?

If you have got the space, I would consider contacting Hazelcroft Guinea Pig Rescue in St Albans, which is your closest good standard piggy savvy rescue and talk with the rescue lady there about whether she can help you with finding a suitable new friend for each boy. Six may profit from dating a laid back adult boar that is past his big hormones. Cap is currently at the most difficult age for re-bonding; you have to see and if necessary wait a bit until he is more hormonally settled at the worst.
