Hi, looking for some advice please. Lily and Rose are due to go and stay at a nearby cavie boarding home whilst we go off skiing! The problem is they are currently housed indoors and this boarding home is outdoors! I've visited a couple of times, to have a look round and have their nails clipped and it's lovely, with a very friendly experienced lady. The hutches are inside a fairly large shed and I know she covers the hutches with blankets at night. I'm just wondering whether it will be too much of a change in temperature for them, was hoping the weather would have warmed up more by now. The lady has said I could take my indoor cage with them and she'd put them in her spare bedroom. The only problem there is that she's gots lots of dogs and I'm not sure what they would make of that! What do you all think?

I'm not sure to be honest. It is nice of her to offer for them to go in to her spare bedroom BUT if she has lots if dogs, I wouldn't feel safe with the pigs being in the house with the dogs as you don't know what the dogs are like although I imagine she would keep the dogs away.

If she's offered her spare bedroom, I suspect she'd make sure to keep the door closed - could you specifically ask her to do this, then you'd be happy about the temperature.

Thanks for your replies. I spoke to the lady last night and we've agreed to try them outside. When we get back it's my intention to house them outside for the summer (ha ha), I've just laid a new floor in the old wendy house and cleaned it out so they will have their double storey hutch and shed floor to play on!
