I have a wooden 6ft outdoor hutch very solid and good quality, which is not being used and I want to give it away / freecycle it.
I have not used it for guinea pigs for about 4 years as mine have somehow made their way indoors....
But it did house my neighbours two young rabbits whilst they recovered from neuter ops. This was a few months ago.
It is more suitable for guinea pigs than rabbits (not tall enough) so I would want to give it to someone who is going to use it for gps or maybe ferrets.
My query is, would there be any risk to future gps if rabbits were housed in it - I am thinking of bordetella primarily? as mentioned, several months have passed since used and I can disinfect it obviously but it is made of wood.

I think if its cleaned thoroughly and air dried it should be fine. The more tenacious rabbit bugs are not likely to affect guinea pigs
