Well, At the weekend i went out for some more fleece as i have decided i need 3 cage liners to change between. So, popped into wilkinsons, To get some treats for the boys and spotted they currently have an offer on a fleece matress protector. I took it out of the packet to have a look, and it at first appears it has an odd backing. Sort of strechy fabric. It says on the packet it is 100% polyester so i decided to risk it. After making up the cage liner and washing it 3 times i decided to test it (have been worrying it wouldnt wick through very quickly) So, i get one of my current liners out and the new one, pour the same amount of water on both and the new one dried so quickly i had to check i had actually poured water on it! I was amazed. Its soooo good.

THey are £5 for a single, £6 for a double and i cant remember how much for a king sized. You wouldnt have to make it as a cage liner, if you wanted you can just cut the skirt off and keep it as a fleece. You do still need a normal matress protector underneath if you want a cage liner, just to clarify.

Anyway, i thought i would let you guys know. I putting it in the boys cage as soon as it is dry.

Also, it only comes in cream... But still. Its a very very very good fleece.

Oh, also just to give an idea of size I made a 3.5x2 grid liner with 4.5 inch sides (so 9 inches of material as the corex is 4.5 inches high), plus 2 hammocks and 3 crash pads to go benieth the hammocks, so I'm sure you could get a 2x4 cage liner out of it.

Pictures..

Well, Now that i have installed said cage liner i thought i would see what you guys thought.

Could it be Terry fleece? it is highly absorbant and used for cloth nappies, your brave having light liners lol but it does look lovely and fresh:)

I very well could be. It sort of looks like vet bed, as in it has a thicker pile like a carpet. *shrugs* Either way, I'm very pleased. :D It seems to keep the piggies nice and dry.

Yes... It is getting very dirty.... But i tend to change mine every 4 days anyway, as they are so messy and like to leave nuggest crumbs EVERYWHERE. Plus its not that big a cage, compared to some peoples. I did leave it for 6 over christmas, and while it was dirty, it still didnt smell.

I would recomend cage liners to anyone and everyone. :)
