Two of my guinea pigs wiggle in my arms when they are near their hutch or playpen. They are fine when I take them in between the two, but as soon as they can smell their home, they just start wiggling like crazy. I haven't dropped them but they have manoeuvred themselves upside-down too many times.
How do I stop them wiggling?
Is there a safer way to hold them when carrying them from the hutch to the playpen?

the safest way is to use a carrier or box. Don’t try to carry them by hand, there is too much of a risk of accidents

Mine are the same so I usually do them one at a time. In summer, when I’m putting them out on the lawn, the go all together in a wash basket with a towel in the bottom.

We have started moving our piggies in this lovely basket house, they cant resist climbing in then I carry it with the front entrance against my stomach and my hand over the side entrance so they cant wiggle out, then once they are safely on the floor again they usually hop out if I wave salad leaves at them :)
