Ok so ive cleaned out my c &c cage today and have washed their fleece which is currently drying over the radiators. Now I have a small cage that i usualy put the piggys in whilst imdoing this but because the towels were taking so long to dry I felt bad and put them to run around in their c & c cage without the bedding. Francesca mainly stayed in the kitchen area which was already bedded with newspaper and hay. Veg time came and when I went in I got HUGE wheeks, I mean, I thought there was something seriously wrong, it shook me up and when I went over, I had alot of teeth chattering from duke and francesca.

I'm thinking maybe they didnt feel safe just on the correx? Francesca had ventured onto the correx but didnt look happy. maybe they Found it hard to run? I'm not sure. In retrospect it probably wasnt the smartest thing ive done as gwen looks like she needs bathing now as she has wee stains on the bum.

So ive put them back into the smaller cage which has towels and fleece. They obviously feel more secure in here. I think they're in a strop with me now :red

does anyone elses piggys have a problem with certain types of flooring?

I always found that my piggies used to like their routine and a change to that was not appreciated I also noticed they did not like slippy surfaces I don't think they are designed for it but then I could be wrong.

I have rugs and laminate in my house and it has taken all my pigs ages to get used to walking on the slippery floor but they are now confident on it as long as they don't get spooked then they have a bit of a scrabble! Unfortunatley my sheltie is not best suited to hard flooring as he ends up sweeping all the pee up with his pretty hair - yuck.
