I'm still so confused, my mom has washed the cage liners 2 times and they are now on their third wash, I'm so unsure of what I'm looking for when the fabric is wicked? can someone explain in full please :soz:

Wicking is when you drop some liquid on and the fabrics acts as a wick and draws it through to the underside while keeping the top layer dry.
My usual test is to out some water on the liner. If it sits in a pool on top it isn't wicking. If it drains through to the other side and the top is dry then it's ready for use.
Hope that makes sense!

Okay great thank you, I think its almost done because the water is soaking into the fleece but still slightly wet and when it comes out the machine its not massively wet, so do you think about 2 more washes?

Usually 3 washes in the machine does the trick. Just remember not to add fabric softener.
