okay so i was just wondering why this thread was closed ?
No one was getting aggressive and it was nice to see people sharing opinions without fighting ? well not getting horrible to each other.
Please someone hi-light the problem for me ?!

Mmmmmmm seems your not allowed to have opinions unless they 'match' the rules. I thought forums were for discussions? It wasn't even getting out control so why close it?

Took the words right out of my mouth.

I would think it may have been closed as breeders were being discussed (ie the fact that there are/arnt ethical breeders) and that is a banned topic.

Might be wrong, just throwing it out there.

But that had to be mentioned even by those who want to put across their views on animals being sold in petshops surely?

Confused:{

took the words right out of my mouth, seems you can't have an opinion unless it suits certain people. We weren't discussing breeders in the banned sense, just that it will always go on and some people will choose to use them but we're trying to educate people on here about why they should be avoided where possible. mallethead

and also , pet shop animals come from breeders so it has to be mentioned as they go hand in hand. What you meant to do, use a code word?!

I don't see the point of being part of a forum that doesn't accept others opinions. Obviously you have to be part of 'the gang' rolleyes

If you look at the last few comment some of them were defending the idea that there are ethical and unethical breeders.

I did not say I agreed with the thread being closed I was simply offering as suggestion as to why.

I'm waiting for this thread to be closed now because we're using "bad" words.
Why ban topics ?
If a new member wanted to know why we don't support it, do we have to say "sorry but we're not allowed to talk about that" it's as if we're talking about some dirty affair...

It was a fair point to make,
Personally i feel if we'd have been saying breeding was good, if we'd been offering a contact number for breeders if we we'd been talking about breeding our pigs then fair enough, but to be discussing it just as a topic is a bit ... i don't know how to say it but just stupid ? Like what harm was it doing ?

no you're right it should always be pointed out the reason 'why'.
But my opinion as stated before is that i do not condone breeding any animal but i'm sure there are some that are better than others, those that at least give them decent living conditions. if my opinion on that is not allowed (not by you connie, in general) then the forum needs to change their rules to state ' no free speech allowed'. And that's MY opinion. ;)

It was moved because right now I have far more important things to be dealing with than arguments on a forum.

Would people rather I stopped caring for my Sanctuary animals and sit on the computer all day to referee arguments?

Sorry, but my priorities are not here right now.
