I have spent many days and many nights trawling this website all your pets are so interesting but harold is not. Plz advize, i want him to do tricks.
I've been following this page for years now coz I was amazed how amazing her piggies in doing tricks. This is an old video but she has more recent ones in her FB and Youtube. I don't have the patience in teaching my piggies plus my piggies are all divas anyway.Pigs are amazing. I have never had one that has not been interesting!
They don't do tricks like jump through hoops or balance a carrot on their nose
But their characters, their quirks, their such individual looks, habits, make them truly special little animals ❤
Everyday with pigs in your life is a day to smile. OK, and sometimes cry.
I have a nutter like that...her name is Vegas! My piglets love sleeping.
I have learned, as their "slave", not to wake them up during naptime unless I have veggies.
They can squeak quite loudly if I am being bothersome in my room. I suppose it isn't really mine anymore, is it, piggies!?
One of my piggies will stand on her hind legs and move her paws up and down if I have a treat, but I did not teach her that.
The others are a bit too "top-heavy" to hold that position.
Awww! Glad to know that my little Stubbins is not the only one.I have a nutter like that...her name is Vegas!
He sounds lovely. Send him over here if you're disappointed with him!No you don't understand. We've had Harold and our other pigs for a year and a half and they all agree with us. Harold is just no fun! They all enjoy each other's company and try to include him but Harold just sits and contemplates. If you saw him, you'd agree!
I agree. The world of guinea pigs is a world of its own. Not like cats, dogs, or even rabbits or smaller rodents. From sitting here for the last ten minutes or so, my Mildred is trying to sleep in an amazon box and not letting anyone in, Pepper woke up and did a big yawn and stretch then a big drink of water, and Olive is pottering about eating a bit of this and a bit of that.
Maybe someone would say they're 'boring' as they're not running about doing tricks, but they're not toys. Having guinea pigs as pets is a privilege to be able to watch their behaviour and watch them interact, if you want something to do tricks maybe you should get a dog!
What do you mean "We've had Harold and our other pigs for a year and a half and they all agree with us."No you don't understand. I'd love to have fish too! Or a hamster even. Husband isn't keen though. He just about tolerates my pigs but does get jealous over them. Still that's his problem. I love all my pigs, past, present and future. Regardless of their looks, activity levels, interaction levels. I just think they're amazing little creatures. I feel privileged to have them ❤Think my Jess, who is now 7 and a half, spends the majority of her life sleeping and the rest eating these days! But I love that about her, she’s happy and does what she wants, I’d watch her doing that for hours and still wouldn’t get bored!
Maybe I’m easy to please too! I am also a fish fanatic and they’re considered boring as well to some people!
(did you upload this video clip direct?)I have a nutter like that...her name is Vegas!

Does it take a lot of maintenance. Your tankSame here!
Fish are great to keep, I’ve got a 30g tropical community tank and my beautiful rehomed Arnie the goldfish (who has cauliflower disease and not considered beautiful to some!), love them! Hopefully you can persuade the hubby!
