why don't they use the guineapig litter tray!?!?

don't supose anyone has any tips on helping my guineapigs use the litter tray! cya soon everyone.

i now have 4 out of my 6 using a litter tray,most people use kitty litter and things like that but i just put hay in the litter tray and each time i go in the room i pick up all the poo and put it in the litter tray,this encourages them to do it in the one spot xx

you could try hay its alot softer,they might never use it,some piggies just never want to xx

hi, yea it tried bonnie's trick, i put pellets underneath some hay, and when i put it in bambido ran into it!

I'm glad its helping,just keep a good eye on the litter though they tend to eat the hy and then have nothing left to poo in unless its filled up again lol

I put puppy pads and newspaper in the bottom of mine to soak up the urine, so the hay isn't just sitting in it (although that may be the job of the pellets you're using). :{ Some people's pigs tend to eat the newspaper/puppy pads, but all 7 of mine leave them alone, and I'm quite proud of them!
