Hi everyone,
My New Guinea Pig coco licks my arms and hands when she lies on my lap and I pet her, like a cat! Does she just like the taste of my skin, is she looking for nutrients or is she just licking my skin out of affection? I’ve heard that guinea pigs lick each other to show affection.

Hi, it can mean a lot of things, showing affection is one, licking for nutrients in particular, salt. It can also mean they're telling you they need to pee.

Mine licks a lot more after I've been for a run (before I shower) so I'm going with the salty thing! (When I did run that is, before the old foot got too old.)

Some of my pigs have been big 'kissers' and others not so much. It's likely affection, the taste of your skin (salt, etc.) or a combination of both.
