Connie and Eliza have started to chew at my skin. It doesn't hurt as they do it gentle but I can still feel their teeth. They mainly do it on my arms. Does anyone have any suggestions on why this could be? I'm not sure whether to discourage it because I don't want them biting. If I do discourage it, what's the best method to go about it?

I've known Garry to do this to me because he wants a wee or just wants to go back home. Ben nips quite hard when he does it (little !) but I don't think he knows his own strength! I'd assume the general rule is that they are just letting you know they are getting a bit uncomfortable one way or another and want to go back to their cage. :)

All of mine do that when they need (toilet) or want (had enough) to go back into the hutch.
So that might be just it.

poppy was nibbling my neck last week and its the first time she'd done it
i put her back and she did a big wee ;D
obviously what was needed!

mine very rarely nibble but they do like my hands alot which i do not understand why they do this O0

that was what i thought i did find it strange of them licking my hands, it is quite odd they like the taste of salt though ;D

if your piggies nibble you put them back and see what happens like if the relieve themselves or start eating etc. if they like cuddles putting them back in their cage might teach them if they nibble they go back so they might stop. if they do nibble and want to go toilet then they are just training you O0 considering these little guys can't talk they find ways to communicate to us O0 sending hugs :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:
