A kind lady took Bugzy on from a friend. She had kept Bugzy in an unsuitable hutch - with a rabbit!

Bugzy doesn't sit like that for fun you know! He was crushed by the rabbit. Not bunny's fault, but that's why you SHOULDN'T keep guineas and bunnies together. Now Bugzy struggles to move and is very unbalanced. He regularly gets impaction.

The kind person took him to a vet where he was x-rayed - no bone damage! The vet suspects nerve or soft tissue damage in his back. Whether it will improve or not is a mystery!

So there's another reason not to keep guineas and bunnies together. They might get on, but accidents happen and is it really worth the risk?

Poor little guy! I really hope he starts to get some feelings back, he's such a handsome boy!

My first guinea pig had part of his ear torn off by my sisters rabbit. We learned the hard way not to house rabbits and pigs together.

oh poor Bugzy. When I was a child in the 1980s it was normal to keep rabbits and piggies together but I thought everyone knew not to do that now :(

Poor little thing... he's so adorable. I love lilac pigs with red eyes. I hope it's just nerve/soft-tissue damage and he makes a good recovery.

Poor little chap, how can people still not know that Rabbits and Piggies just don’t go together. I had a guinea pig and rabbit when I was young (1960’s) and then it was the done thing. I had to buy another hutch for the rabbit as Harvey the male rabbit would not stop humping Deborah Whiskers the female guinea pig, it was awful. They were adopted by me from a boy over the road who had lost interest, the poor piggie was quite bare around her back and neck where the rabbit was biting to hold her down. They both lived happily, one above the other in separate cages for the rest of theirs days.
