Advice would be welcomed.

My two girls Millie and Marmalade get on fine and have done since I first put them together. marmalade is still young, less then a year. I bonded Mowgli from TEAS with the two girls, and both Mowgli and Marmalade do test each other. Yesterday however, I found a large hole in Marmalades ear and bite marks on her other ear. I can't imagine it was Millie, she's so relaxed.

They have enough bowls and houses and room and are housed outside so any ideas?

How are Marmalade and Mowgli with each other? Usually you will see a tension and a tendency of the attacked piggy to stay away from the attacker or be confrontational if there has been a bad incident. Bites between bonded cross gender piggies are very, very rare; these are likely to be more dominance and than fight related, considering they are on the ears.

I would recommend to remove any hideys with just one exit for the time being and disinfect the ears with saline solution (1teaspoon of salt dissolved in 1 pint of boiled cooled water). Keep an eye on the dynamics between the piggies if you can give them a good deal of supervised run time together.

Thank you. They seem fine, marmalade is very cheeky and can be quite testing. I am going to bring them into together for longer lap time and see what happens.

I will let you know of any progress.
