hay pile?

IMG_1472.JPG

It's not showing so well in the photo but there is a fox shaped 6" deep indentation at the back of this hay pile. The head is on the right. Poor foxy must have been feeling the minus 5 temps last night! I use this old piggy run as a used hay storage area over winter when I don't have much green stuff for the compost bins and nothing is rotting down. t comes in hand later when I need mulch and brown contents in the bins. I forgot to put the plastic sheeting back over it yesterday so foxy found a warm bed. I will add some more later and fluff it up for foxy for tonight as it's still freezing.

Gosh is that what your boys won't eat?
My girls would think all their Christmas's had come at once 🎁
No wonder foxy 🦊 thought it was a cosy warm bed :luv: xx

It's not all hay, there's old bean, tomato and other plants mixed in. It took about 6 months to fill! We do get a lot of waste though as the 3 older piggies have boxes full of hay to sleep in, they need completely changing everyday as they pee in it a lot. There's also a 5kg box of Hay Box soft in there that arrived smelly and dusty and I wouldn't feed them it.
