Hello! My two roughly 14 week boars Beano and Dennis are confusing (& slightly disgusting!) me! I have read the info on boars behaviour and so far we have had lots of working out who is boss - rumble strutting, bottom nose offs, a v occasional bit of teeth chattering and so far I thought Beano was defiantly the dominant one. However the last week or so, when they have been out in the run (which they love), Dennis has been mounting Beano a lot! Beano shrugs him off and tells him off but doesn't seem to get too angry, and they seem to be chatting away to each other a chirping/squeaking - so assume they are happy.
Today though I noticed Beano being more snappy and when I paid closer attention I noticed He had Boar glue on his back! (Which I had to try and snip out later - yuck! - but I know it is normal in boys) Does this mean I am wrong and Dennis is the dominant one?!

Hierarchy can change in pairs etc...

Boys will hump each other too, not just the dominant one doing the humping.... Men eh? :))

Men indeed! Thanks, that's helpful, Beano does seem like top pig still despite his traumatic episode!
And boar glue is impossible to remove from fur! Any tips?!

It is impossible to remove I'm afraid, you're best option if it's already gone hard, is to cut it out carefully with scissors. If you are (un)lucky enough to catch it quickly before it dries then it's easier to remove ;)
