i think you could just have a lower side, or keep it the same, I'm sure pigs could just jump out, i dunno i don't have one.
Hope someone can help you :)

I used to have my cage like that and i cut the correx on each side so that it was like a flap that I could pull down when the grid was up and then I just pushed it back up when it was closed if that makes sense :)

that's what i though but didn't know if it would stay up on it's own. i suppose i could always put small holes on that section and cable tie it on. :{

Here's a sample. (click on thumbnails to see details)

thanks. do your piggies just jump over the correx then to come out? i can't imagine ches and maisie doing that! :)) i could get a small ramp to go over i suppose.

I had mine cut to about 6cm high at the doorway and the pigs just hopped over. However, an old girl recently moved in and she has stiff back legs so I have now cut it back further so it is now only about 3cm. :)

It's not my cage :) I just found those pics.
From the picture, they cut the correx down to the bottom and just flip it down when they have floor time. If you click on the pics, you should see more info.

thanks everyone.

i am going to correx all the way round as normal. the correx will need to be quite high due to us living in a very draughty cold house but hopefully they will still beable to jump over it for floor time. if not, i'll add a ramp or something.

i think they are going to be so happy when they realise they can go back into the cage when they want to. :<>
