So I currently have four boars that are getting along together, after rescuing two newbies from not ideal conditions. Their backstory can be found here....

Ollie needs to go to the vet as his teeth will need attention. My question is, who goes with him? He's bonded most closely with Remy, but if just the two of them go, will that start the group bonding process all over again? I don't think I could go through that again! Or does everyone go to the vet?

Just a short while won't affect the bonding. I would take whoever he is closest too...I've taken 3 in one carry case before, they huddle together anyway! The others will just think they're out of the cage for cuddles :)

I was hoping you would get more relies because I think this is an interesting question.
I am not an expert, but here are my thoughts.

I wouldn't take all 4 unless you have a HUGE carrier - the close confines and stress make them more likely to fight and upset the delicate balance of their new bond.

I would take Ollie with one of the older boys (Albie or Percy) so you don't recreate the whole 'them and us' situation again.
Who do you think will travel best and be calmest?
I would take them with Ollie.

But I might be totally wrong, so if someone with more experience weighs in them please listen to them!

Hmm interesting opinions... I shall await more replies over the weekend as it's now 1815 on a Friday afternoon!
Ollie is happiest with Remy, but I'm worried about the us and them complex. My other option is Ollie and Albie, Albie's approach to Ollie is to tolerate him by ignoring him. Ollie and Percy is a no go, as they're still bickering for second and third place.
The vet is only 3 minutes down the road... Maybe a communal trip to the scary vet will make them all realise how good they have it!

This could work! They say that "piggies that bath together, stay together" and going to the vets is a similar experience. The shared trauma could make them close buddies for life!

Oh I would really really like that. They're getting along pretty well (all things considered!) but Ollie is just slightly driving me nuts with all this teeth chattering! I don't know how since he only really has one tooth!;)

Just a short trip won't affect the bonding. Any companion will do that he is not on odds with; I prefer not to take the top piggy when dealing with a group, as you will see dominance upon return.

Thank you :) Ollie and Remy (bottom pig) it is then. That's good, they can get their toenails done together too. They're still too wiggly for us to tackle.

Best of luck! Mostly is it snuggling up for comfort during the trip, so it doesn't really matter all that much.
