My 1 year old Boar excretes this white substance. It’s powdery. Normal?

They excrete excess calcium in their urine, so yes seeing white patches is normal. However, if you see it a lot or if the patches feel gritty then do have a look at the diet and see if changes need to be made. Too much calcium in the diet can lead to the formation of bladder stones. The calcium absorption process is complicated and there is a genetic element to it as well but all we can do as owners is control the diet

Most calcium comes from pellets and drinking water. So ensure their pellets are kept limited to one tablespoon per pig per day, and that their drinking water is filtered. Next is to make sure high calcium veg is fed no more than once per week and only fed in small amounts. High calcium veg is parsley, spinach and kale. (There are others, but these are the main highest veggies).
