I adopted two six week old guinea pig girls yesterday. The person I got them from said they were used to all kinds of vegetables, so when I came back with them in the evening I fixed them a small plate of various veggies. There was some green pepper, zucchini, carrot, cucumber, carrot tops, and romaine. When I checked them this morning, I found four or five little white spots on their fleece. Some are more smooth and some are more crusty. My husband describes it as looking like "dried paint." I know they can pee out excess calcium, so I am hoping it's just that. I took them out for some run time and at least one of them is peeing normally because there were multiple normal looking pee spots. I had them in the run for a while and I didn't see any white looking spots. They have a vet appointment next week Thursday, but I am very worried about them now. I have attached a few pictures for reference. The spots are very bright white, the lighting just makes them look yellow. Thank you all for your help!

Hi!

It looks like calcium pees to me? It is the normal way of the body to excrete any excess calcium and no worry unless your piggy is making lots of them on a nearly daily basis, in which case I would have them vet checked. The occasional calcium pee is not a problem.
