Which size cage would be best 2X5 or 3X4

3x4 would be the bigger of the two so that gets my vote. However, 5x2 is a good size aswell.
 
3x4 is bigger but I personally found it a bit of a pain to clean, this time round I'm going for 2x5, but there is one less pig now (had 4 in the 3x4 and will be having 3 on each floor of the 2x5)
 
I have a 3 x 4 triple decker cage and Kimberley's right it IS hard to clean. If it were one level I don't think it would be so bad.

I'd love a 2 x 5 but no room for it at the moment.
 
And harder to catch piggies in! I found because 3 is further than arms reach it was difficult. I'm really hoping the 2x5 is ok as I'll be able to reach the back to catch the fleeing piggles!
 
I have a single level 3 x 4 (and 1 x 3 hayloft) which stands on the floor. I can get in it to catch piggies and clean. However, if I had multi levels or was going to have it raised off the floor I would only be able to have it 2 deep because of cleaning/ catching piggies. :)

That's what mine was! But the hayloft never got finished. I used to chase them around the cage for a good 30mins to catch them rolleyes Got everyone so stressed!

:)) My girls are pretty good about hopping into a cosy when I want to get them out but if they're being awkward I just herd them up the ramp into the hayloft. Once they're up there and realise there is no escape they will get into the cosy with no problems. :(|)
 
Thanks everyone. I am planning to make a 2X4 but hoping I can go bigger. I just need to measure out tomorrow. It will be storeys high. It will be three storeys high and maybe at christmas 4 storeys.

So what do you think I should do if I can go bigger than a 2X4 then? Considering it is storeys high?

If I were you I would go out to the side (if it will fit) so keep 2 wide rather than making it deeper. A lot of people get on fine with 3 deep cages though.
