I currently keep my cage upstairs but I'm wondering if it would be better in one of the main living rooms, where do others find the cage is best kept?

I keep mine in my living room .. only because I only really go upstairs to clean and go to bed lol .. so for me them being in the lounge theye have almost constant interaction with us . If they where to be upstairs they wouldn't really get much interaction

As I still live at home, and my bedroom is large enough, I have my cage in my bedroom

My piggies have their own downstairs room that they share with the giant african snails, but when they have floor time we set up a big playpen in the main living room.

I keep mine in their cage in the living room. They also have their floor time in there :) I get to interact with them more with them in there

My boys live in the living room, originally on the floor. Then we decided to mount the tv on the wall and moved their cage up onto the sideboard

Mine have their own room which is downstairs so there’s lots of interaction.
The do have to share the room with lots of books and jigsaws but the floor is all theirs

The piggy cage is upstairs in the room where i work when i am at home. They also a two adjoining runs (we have two pairs of piggys) in the living room where they spend a couple of hours each evening.
Evening play time is when we get most interaction with them.

When the weather got too warm, they went in my bedroom, because it was the coolest room in the flat.

Otherwise, it was the living room. That was where most people were, they got used to people coming in and out and I swear they used to ham it up when people were about just because.

They are in what used to be my bedroom, but I spent more and more time sleeping on the sofa so in the end I just let them take over :lol!: I take a chair up and spend a few hours up there each day reading, gaming and talking to them :) or i'll bring a few down to have a run around while the cats asleep elsewhere. I keep them in a room that I don't 'live' in all the time mainly due to allergies, otherwise id have them all in the living room with me.

Mine are in the living room, which is also the passage to the whole house so they get loads of attention as we go about our day.

Ours is in the living room. My piggies run freely in the living room too during daytime and they are locked in their house during bed time.

We no longer have a dining room. Instead we have a piggy room, where they get quiet time and human interaction time.

Me too! We have a pet room instead of a dining room :) its just piggies, snails, pet supplies, and a bookcase full of zoology books.

Same - mine are in the living room but were in my bedroom during the recent heatwave as it is cooler. I couldn't sleep though because they were 'talking' away to each other and doing zoomies all night :lol!: (probably just to annoy me tbh!)

Living room, all of my animals are in here. Because this is where i spend most of my time. I dont spray deoderants here. No kitchen sprays here. And it has a woods on the back, so stays really cool

Mine have their own room upstairs. My son and my fella both have dogs, so it's safer when they come to visit.

Kitchen. Mainly because that’s the only place that has enough space for the cage. Trouble is, every time I’m in there, I get a piggy begging for munchies!

African snails? I used to keep stick insects. Probably the easiest ever pet to have. They eat privet and you just spray the tank with water mist every few hours

Yes lots of giant African snails! With 5 piggies and so many snails I always get weird looks at the supermarket for buying 6 cucumbers at a time :)
