I am always playing with my pigs and watching them.

They are really young I think 11-12 weeks old.

They have just started to grumble at each other abit, never nipped or fought.

And they all eat together, when I put food down they all run to it. Never fight.

The only thing they do is grumble and hump each other, so how do I know which is the dominate one. X

In some pairs the hierarchy is more pronounced than in others; it depends on their personalities and how dominant/laid back they are. Rumblestrutting and mounting is normal daily boar behaviour. Some boars do it mutually as a way to constantly reaffirm their bond throughout their life, others hardly ever do it.

Things may change when they hit the big hormones; that is when you are more likely to find out who is the boss.

I always thought my Poe the bigger one was the boss... then they had a fight whilst I was out that resulted in blood and having to split them as Edgar came off badly. Now they are split but living side by side it is always Edgar that tries to dominate Poe but Poe just walks off and does not retaliate! Edgar def has little man syndrome just unfortunately cannot back it up with the brawn. The rare occasion Edgar starts on poe at playtime Poe just wanders off slowly but will see him.off if he gets too much. :)
