which cage?

hello, I'm new to the world of piggies! can anyone recommend a cage suitable for two piggies? I've been having a look at the Nero 3 and Nero 4- anyone have any thoughts about them?

a nero 3 is not big enough.

for 2 female piggies you need a minimum cage size of 120cm by 60cm
for 2 male piggies you need a minimum cage size of 150cm by 60cm

but remember bigger is always better.

C&C cages are great as they are adapable to the size and space you have :)

You need a 4 grid by 2 grid cage, or 5 by 2 if you have the space. The grids can be bought on ebay, B & Q or Screwfix, then you need a waterproof base such as correx/corotherm (B & Q & other places) :)

Pigges should be either in a hutch on legs if outside, if indoors they prefer to be off the floor but I kept mine in a cage on the floor & they were fine, but I don't have any other pets.
 
If you go into our housing thread one of the stickys at the top will show you pictures of C&Cs. No it is not true that they must be raised off the floor. However they MUST be kept out of reach of predators such as cats and dogs. :)
 
oooh yes! i've had a look at the c&c kits- and they look really good. do they sit on the floor? is there anywhere is the UK that does them?
 
You have to buy the seperate bits and assemble it, but its prettly easy and cost effective. You can make it any size to fit your space. :)

I am hoping to start selling the kits but first I need to look into the delivery costs. I will post full details once up and running !
 
yea they sounds brill, just not sure if ive got the time to make one! are all the bits available from one shop?
