Which C&C cage do you think would be best for my piggies?

Okay so I have 2 girls and Rusty is cranky towards Lillith, the cage I have now for them is too small (way too small so they get extra floor time, normally I like to give the 2 hours.)
I have a spot for the cage, so in other word I have room for it. I'm thinking the 56'' by 28'' would be the best, does anyone have either of these cages?

Bigger is better :-)

4x2 on one level is what most people with 2 use, though 3x2 is the minimum , thats in grids not ft. Id go for the larger one and use the top as a hay loft :)

Most people on here have similar cages to that and love them!

I would always go for the bigger one :) especially as they're prone to being cranky.

You can build your own cage for much cheaper. A box of grids and a sheet of coroplast is all you need.

The 2nd link you posted has unsafe cage. The grids have wider space between the bars. Guinea pigs can get their heads stuck in those grids. Safe grids should have 9x9 space across in each grid.

This is the cheapest box of grids you could find.
23 grids for $15.83.

You could also search for Whitmor Storage Cubes on Amazon, Walmart or get the Grid Wire Modular Shelving and Storage Cubes from Bed Bath and Beyond.

Coroplast. 4x8 ft sheet. $10 - $20, depends on the location.

hi sorry i just joined this web site and I'm having a hard time getting into the forums. had guinea pigs since i was 11 and now I'm 25 so i was hoping to talk to some of * but i cant figure this internet forum out

I'd go for the 2x4 with the hay loft. As mentioned before a 3x2 is the minimum for 2 piggies, so if you can go bigger, do! Just make sure that the ramp that is included isn't too steep for your pigs! You can easily make your own ramp, so it wouldn't be a problem, but I just thought I'd give my opinion. <-- Sorry if that sounded bossy, I don't mean to be! :red
