I have just started keeping the piggies on fleece instead of carefresh (far too expensive!) and I have been putting there pile of hay in the corner of there cage but they just seem to drag it everywhere as expected really and its just making the cage a mess straight away so i'm having to clean the cage it more often.

Where does everyone else put theres that uses fleece bedding? I have seen this ball to hang from top of cage which I think looks quite good but i'm not sure.

:)

I recently brought one of the balls that hang from their cage (I think you can get them on ebay quite cheap) it seems to make less mess and my boys seem to love it, keeps them busy for hours :)

I have a cat litter tray with some megazorb and plenty of fresh hay. I change the hay every day and the megazorb every third day. This gives my girls the chance to dive in and root about. I also have a hay rack or stuff an empty tissue box or a tube with hay.
I use a cat litter scoop to tidy up the loose hay that ends up on the fleece- I turn it over and use the flat edge like a rake and do a hay/ poop clean twice a day.

:)

There's a photo of my set up here

What type of cage do you have? As you could add a second level and hay hayloft or like Flips said fill a litter tray with newspaper and hay and then have a hay rack by the litter tray too. I used to do that when i had my nero, but now i have a c&c i have a hayloft and two hay racks downstairs and they dont seem to make a mess.

:)

I used the balls too you can put veg in them too :)

I also used C&C grids bent and attached to a corner filled with hay, ideal for if you are going to be out all day as they eat hay in the balls quite quickly.

I also have a wire hanging basket in one on my cages, just ensure your piggies can not climb into it :)

Toilet roll tubes filled are also good :)

Thank everyone great tips :) i am going to try the ball and the litter tray idea sounds great. I have a c&c cage nearly made so it will be for that x
