What are everyone’s opinions on where to get a good cage? Website? Or going to a store? Where did you get your cages? How do you know if they’re right for your pigs? Do you guys have any recommended websites or stores? Links? I’m asking a lot of questions and I sound like I’m clueless but I just want to make sure I get Tesla and Meatball the right home. 🤔🤔

The Midwest Habitat cage is a good cage in my opinion. It's spacious and doesn't cost as much as pet store cages (which are smaller). I really like my C&C cage! You can customize it to fit your room plus it's less expensive than a lot of cages :) You can also easily add on more grids for more space

Sadly a lot of shop/store bought cages are just far far too small and expensive too. We have a great website we can use in the UK called zooplus they do 160cm cages that the rescue I volunteer at recommends for pairs of boars. I'm not sure what's available in the USA though. But the bigger the better.

A lot of people on here have C&C cages, that's what I have and i LOVE it, you can have it open topped on a table so they are really easy to interact with, and shape it however you want.

However, i would recommend to get the grids and coroplast seperately from DIY stores and build it yourself- there are loooads of threads on how to do it. I say this because building it yourself is really simple, I was lazy and bought the whole cage, felt a bit ripped off when it came to be honest. I could have built it just as well my self for a quarter of the price. Here's a pic of mine (still need some bits and pieces and storage boxes- but you get the idea!)

That looks no neat and tidy. Then I realised there are no piggies in it. :lol!: . Great set up.

I am a huge fan of c and c grids. They are so versatile that you can build and rebuild, extend, reduce as your needs and space allow. However the Midwest are good sized cages and Ferplast 140 and 160 cages are super. For 2 boars you need LOADS of space.

Or you can buy the grids on amazon/eBay and same goes for the correx.

Just make sure the grids have 9 holes in them - they’re also 35.5cm.

As you’ll be getting boys, is recommend a 2x5 c&c or 150cm+ cage.

Where did you get that wooden hay bin? If you don't mind me asking.

Not at all, do you mean the upside down basket on the right hand side of the cage? If so it was given to me with presents in it at christmas! I plan to cut holes in it and hay in there... might be spiky though so will see :)

The one on the left, above the blue bins. Although the one on the right is nice too :)
