Hi. Am getting Guinea pigs so I have two of everything for a while. I have a 120 cage and two of the igloos (plus other bits). Should I put the igloos at the same end or opposite? I know it depends on the pigs and will change it about but just wondered where your piggies sleep? Near to each other, not etc. Pictures of any layouts of 120 cages would be great too!

image.webp All hidies need two exits unless your piggies have bonded and the dominant phase is over. Here is my current setup, with shavings on top of the Fitch - I wanted to use them up and They will be cleaned out on Monday. Smudge is in the corner potty, having a drink. It isn't much yet I'm afraid. The girls sleep under the platform on a hay bed.

My cage is 140x70cm
They mostly sleep in the cardboard box house (it has a large opening cut in front and a small opening cut into either side).
Sometimes one sleeps in the box house and one sleeps in the fleece tunnel.

Yes my boys tend to sleep in a cardboard box house similar to GPcrazy above or simply in a big pile of hay in a corner. They are all quite bold boars though so will even just sleep in the middle of a playpen randomly. Younger piggies will tend to want some form of shelter though. Cardboard boxes with multiple exits though are really handy, can be any size you want if you hunt at supermarket / garden centre - much prefer them to the plastic igloos. And the piggies can chew them as required!
