Just wondering as I may need to shuffle my piggys about a bit.
Currently I have 3 cages in a long line along the back wall of my lounge- 2 are joined up.
I was wondering whether to move my r5 cage into my bedroom, I have the room and it makes more room in the lounge but wasn't sure if they would keep me awake? does anyone else do this?
In an ideal world I would have a guinea pig room or keep them in a large kitchen but that isn't possible at the mo.
Where do you keep your piggys? :)

My 2 piggies are in the spare bedroom and I leave all the doors open in my flat due to my cats, and they never keep me awake. Think you just get used to their noises.

I've just erected an r5a cage which is HUGE and I am trying to work out where to put it, I'd thought about my bedroom but not sure what hubbub would think. Currently I have 2 exterior hutches in my utility room.

Well, I have 4 piggies in the kitchen (2 separate homes) 6 piggies in the hall (3 separate homes) and 9 piggies in the lounge (3 separate homes) :) They are slowly taking over the house! I try to keep upstairs animal free, but to be honest, I'm not sure how long this will last! rolleyes

6 x 5ft cages in the dining room ( now known as piggy room) dining table relocated to front room.
1 x 5ft cage in front room.

10 pigs altogether.

I think you get used to noises eventually.
When I used to live with my parents years ago my piggies were always in my bedroom and this was fine. I bought my house 5 years ago and they now live in the kitchen. I had to put them in my room for a weekend last year when I dog sat for a friend and it became clear he wanted to eat the piggies and the noise drove me bonkers lol! :))

I quarantine in my bedroom...
At one point in time I had 8 guinea pigs and 6 rabbits in there... And to be fair they kept me awake... But it was more the rabbits that did...
I think you'll get used to it... If the pigs were ever to wake me up it was normally because they were a noisy drinker...
x

My piggies live in my dining room & get fed before the hoomans :red :(|)

I am not sure about keeping them in a bedroom, I would be very careful not to use deodorant/body sprays/perfume etc if they are in the same room, & use the bathroom for that (with closed door) instead rolleyes

My piggies reside in their own shed, complete with lighting and heating. ;)

I think I may give it a go, I just need to sort out who's going where as I have a new piggy and currently have:
4 piggys in two joined up skyline maxi xl's
2 piggys in an r5a
1 piggy in a 100 cage, which is temporary as I only got her on monday. I did think about putting her in with the pair as they are all quite small or the foursome but thinking it may not quite be big enough so I may need to buy another cage as well lol!
I also only live in a 2 bed flat, the lounge is ok 20ft by 10ft (I think) so the piggys are down one end and the sofas/tv at the other but I don't have room for a big table which is a shame. The kitchen is tiny and the hall not quite wide enough, loads of room outside in the corridor but not sure the neighbours would approve!

When I had them in a smaller cage and had more room in my bedroom they were in there and they never kept me awake :)
But then I got a bigger bed and stuff and my boyfriend moved in so they had to be moved to the garage :(

Well I didn't get that much sleep although I think it was due to the ramp, they do make a bit of noise going up and down so I might try a sock over it to stop the scrabbling and it will **** make them feel safer too.

Still not decided how to have the piggys arranged yet, can either go for a 4+3 or 3+2+2 or even add another piggy to make an even number :p but I think thats too much lol:))

It depends greatly on the type of sleeper you are if you can keep them in your bedroom or not. I'm a very light sleeper, and get very agitated by certain noises when I'm trying to get off to sleep and once I'm woken by a noise, I can rarely get back to sleep again.

My 4 boys are in my room and is was always their water bottles that bothered me the most. I've now gotten into the habit of giving them fresh water at night, so they come over to have a quick slurp then, meaning they won't keep on and on at it a few minutes later while I'm getting to sleep. When I had my younger girls in here, they would have little rumbling contests and start popcorning around ALL the damn time! Which obviously set the boys off, making alsorts of random noises at each other, that drove me into madness and now the girls in the dining room :(|)

My older girls are outside on the patio in their new hutch :)

If you can put up with *click click click bang click click bang bang click click* a few times a night and not wake you up, then I don't see why they can't live in your room :))

The only trouble really for me is their bedding, because it irritates my sinus to smell the bedding and hay, but I take stuff for that :)

My two live in my bedroom and have taken up most of the space from the bottom of my bed on-wards, they are in a Ferplast 120 but I also have a run which they can always access.
I never have no problems with them when i'm sleeping but I think years of keeping noisy nocturnal furries has made me immune. :)

I live in a studio flat, so my 6 piggies are in with me :D Except when Juarez has a hissy fit and decides to squeal.....I sleep through everything else!

Am thinking of changing my cage around a bit....making it two story and have houses on the top and bottom! Hoping that will keep the grumpy ones seperate and reduce squealing! :D

My boys are in my bedroom. When they were on sawdust the rustling was annoying, on fleece i can barely hear them once they settle down. :)

Mine live in my home office...I pretty much live in there as well mallethead

I love that we are together all day and I can hear them make their little noises and chewing sounds.

2 of my pigs live in my boyfriends room in there C&C, my loan boy lives in my bedroom in his shop bought cage, and then my 2 fosters have recently been moved to live in the front room in a shop bought cage after living in a hutch in my hallway for the last month or 2 (:
