Hi just posted questions about cages but husband who up to now had wanted them in outdoor hutch has just suggested we have large outdoor cage in large under stairs cupboard! This is small room under stairs that has full door not tine cupboard will measure later! That would mean we could have very large indoor cage but where do yo all keep yours!? Does the cage need to be in view of people when we are going to have them out for long periods every day? Help please I do have a tendency to over research everything I do! lol

Mine are in the living room; I work from home and can keep an eye on them all day that way.

Under the stairs is not bad if you can arrange some lighting. Quite a few people can put up indoors runs for play time that fold up.

This is a handy one to fit under the stairs as it fits into a corner really well. If it's your first order from Zooplus you get a discount. Each side measures 100cm, the 140cm is the diagonal measurement.

Lisajazz was selling one of these, not sure if she still has it available but her thread was here

If you are having them out for long periods of time every day then I shouldn't think it would matter that they aren't in view all the time when in their cage.

Initially, I had my cages in the lounge, but I have recently moved them into a spare room when my bf built our C&C cage. I have to say, I miss them in the lounge, but once the room has better internet connection I'll be in there most of the time when I'm home (we are planning on running a cable up there soon, wifi is rubbish, I have to sit in the hallway for it to work)

I have a large 2 tier hutch from P@H in my daughters room, if we are home then they are having floortime because we live on one level there is an awful lot of interaction between the piggies and who-ever is home although there is a piece of mdf across the door so they dont have complete access to our living space.

mine live in c&c cage in the spare room which they share with the hamster.

Mine are kept in the outhouse in the winter and cold days, it joins the kitchen so I'm always poping in and out and having a natter and hug with them :)

That looks like a good cage, and if you sign up for the newsletters you get an extra 10% off!

under the stairs in my dining room, which i have to walk through to get from living room to kitchen, n its also the room my computer is in so hes basicaly got constant company

Mine is still for sale and I'll take a reasonable offer on it!

It's a brilliant cage!

Front room, where all the action is:)) It helps them to acclimatize to everyday comings and goings, you'll find that you will be more tempted to go over to them and talk/play with them, and all in all have a closer bond with them ;)

Agree with BonBon2010. Mine are in the living room. I love seeing what they're getting up to.

Mine are outside guineas, but I am an outside person and am lucky enough to have fantastic WiFi (mind you I should for what the router cost) so in summer I am usually at my stables seeing to the horses or in my garden!

In winter they live in the conservatory which is just off the kitchen, so they can hear and see us a lot. We considered moving them to the shed this year as it might be warmer but I'd rather insulate their hutches more and have them close tbh - I miss the wheeks!

mine are in the dining room in their big cage, but i live in a bungalow so every time i come out of a room into the hallway i can see them, and to be honest its only a little bungalow so its not like they are too far away, plus i am in the dining room half my life anyway, and so are the dogs as they also have cages underneath the piggies, they all keep each other company when I'm not home x

mine are kept in our study. OH works from home so they have company all day. think they are actually glad when we go to bed.
Marvin loves watching the monitor when 4od is on tho :P

Mine were in the living room, then the dinning room with a play run in living room, then we moved the cage to the spare bedroom as they were in the play run downstairs most of the time! Now they have a 3x6 living space attached to their cage in the spare room and come down in evenings for a run around the living room :)):))

Hi,

Our cage is in the living room which is where we spend most of our time. That way they get used to our sounds and comings and goings and they're very rarely alone.

We're eventually hoping to have the cage just for eating and sleeping etc. because we want them to be free range piggies!

my hutches and cages are kept in our bedroom and then their runs are set up in the spare bedroom, where the rabbits live
