Where do I go from here?

If you haven’t seen my recent posts, I had a Guinea pig of mine pass away last night. She has a cage mate, and I’m wondering if I need to rescue/purchase a new furry friend. He’s acting normal, and doesn’t seem depressed.

Should I get another Guinea pig?

I’m sorry for your loss.

Your piggy will need a new friend within the next few weeks. As long as he is eating and drinking and maintaining his weight you do have some time to find the right friend for him.

Most piggies will not appear depressed following the loss of their cage mate but they will get lonely after they have done their grieving.
