To start trying to bond my two boys?

Some may know that Frank decided to poke himself with hay in the eye on Sunday, and currently has eye drops to be administered until Sunday. His eye is looking much better today so that's great!

My original plan was tomorrow, but then that happened with his eye and being that he is the submissive one, I'm not sure I wanted to risk him getting facially molested by Bert as his eye isn't 100% yet.

I have read all the bonding information and will be printing off the thread about the dominance behaviours (what is okay and what is not!), so I have it on hand.

Is it better to just wait until Sunday? Or would it be okay before hand?

The best time to do it is when Franks feeling more hap[y and confident with a healthy eye and when you've got plenty of time to spend watching them and checking everything is going well.

Good luck though!

Thank you, I figured as much as I wouldn't want to make anything worse! Sunday it is! :)

Also thank you for the link I'm going to have a read through that now :)

Ah shoot, I'm going home Sunday as well... So might have to be next week! D:

image.webp image.webp Thought I'd come back to this, seeing as I've plonked them in the cage together. They've been in there for over an hour now and so far so good. Bert being the dominant one has been rumble strutting and molesting frank. He's also taken possession of his tunnel.
Frank just seems to pretty much be taking it. Just waiting for the snuggle huts in the wash so they can go and chill alone but just realised they're laying together ! :o

Does this seem positive?!?

Me to! Franks been alone for so long and he could do with some piggie company! As long as he still comes up to me in the mornings and loves me, it's all okay! :')
I also feel it might improve their overall health!
So I'm being positive :'D
