My 2 girlies live outdoors under a make shift shelter in a well insulated hutch away from drafts. During the winter, I made sure they had a warm snugglesafe 24 hours a day along with plenty of hay, domes and cosies. At the minute, I am still giving them a snugglesafe over night and pulling down the see through cover of their hutch along with a fleece blanket and carpet. I am just wondering when I should stop giving them the snugglesafe altogether and when should I stop covering the front of the hutch with the blanket? I shall keep pulling the see through cover down at night right up until the summer as it stops the wind from getting in.

It may sound silly but I built them up gradually for the winter by adding extra stuff but now I need to do the reverse for the summer if you know what I mean mallethead

Yeah I understand :)

Swedish grandmothers tell you to freeze in autumn and sweat in spring, meaning you shouldn't bundle up in everything you've got at on october first and then shed all layers on the first spring day. It makes kind of sense and you've done just that with the winter stuff, building it up gradually. I think it's better to keep their warm stuff too long than to remove it too early.

Can you see if they are using the snugglepad? If they are huddled up on it I guess they really appreciate it, but if they don't seem to care then maybe they will be ok without?
