When To Pair?

I currently have 2 female guinea pigs and a 2wk old baby who we believe is male. We will be separating him from his mom and aunt next week to prevent un wanted pregnancy but I have some concerns on him being alone or being injured since he is still small from introducing him to a new cage mate.(His new cage will be next to his mom and aunts cage so he'll be able to hear and see them)

How soon after separating him should I wait before getting him a friend?

He will have interaction between the bars but babies shouldn’t be alone so if you are getting him another boar to bond with then you can do that as soon as you possibly can.
