When To Open Up Lower Level Of Hutch

Hi,
I have a two tier cage and have had my guineas for 5 weeks. They have settled in well and we have managed to rid the ringworm they came with.
They have only been using the upper level whilst they get used to their home. When should I open up the lower level and ramp? My husband has built a banister for the ramp so they dont slip off!

You could do it now as they would have settled in after 5 weeks. Watch them on the ramp at first. Is their any sort of grip on it such as carpet tiles. I know when I first got a cage with a ramp my piggies just slid down it like a kid's slide.

Thanks. There is like rough layer on the ramp to stop them slipping. Hope they get on ok!

Think I will do at weekend as raining here and will coincide with their big clean out. Plus I wouldnt be forgiven if I did it when my daughter was at school. Going to try photos now. Want ti do on mobile from pics on there. Here goes!
