Hey guys

I was just wondering when's the best time to bring the boys in for winter? They have much more space outside so I want to leave it as long as possible without letting them get cold! Any suggestions?

As soon as the temperature starts to drop really

@TheAurora When do you bring your piggies in?

Lots of the TEAS piggies are still out. Old man, Monty, is in an outdoor hutch, and he hates being indoors or in the shed. I just fill the hutch with hay each night. All piggies feel as warm as toast the next day. Generally it is draughts and damp that get to them.

Thanks Debbie :) x

Hi there,

My piggies always come in if the 'feels like' temperature drops below about 15c.

Just because that's the temperature of the air they are breathing in.

Sometimes the air around them is fine with their furry coats, but you don't want them breathing is cold air or air full of water droplets.

That's my rule of thumb.

Thanks buddy x How are the droolsome tweosome?

if you lived around here (north west) i'd have said a few weeks ago :)) it suddenly went very chilly and got that autumn feel in the air. so when it feels like that i'd say would be the right time :)

Thanks guys. I'm down South and it's still fairly mild but I suspect it'll turn soon. It's forecast to be 16-20 over the next week (min. 9 deg at night) so will just keep an eye on them for now.

I worry about mine getting cold indoors as we don't have the heating on at the moment .... but i don't think our house is that cold...
