When they refuse critical care

So Stripe has CBS. He lost some weight on his last ear infection. Is like him to gain but the past 3 days he's been refusing his critical care. I had been giving him 20 ml and he was gaining 10 grams every 4 days.

Because he's been refusing the critical care, he lost 10 grams in 4 days.

Should I force him?

I'd like him to gain 50 grams.

I read that 10-30g is normal daily variation for piggies
Have you tried soaked rolled oats ?
I was told to give my skinny pig readigrass to maintain his weight ….you could try some

No never force.

Losing 10g in 4 days is actually nothing and not considered a loss at all. It’s just normal fluctuation.

Thanks, he only took 3 ml this morning so I'll get some oats.

I used to pop a small dish of raw oats with grated carrot into the cage to give the piggies opportunity to eat for themselves.
I also mixed a bit of mashed banana into the critical care for Micah - he was a banana addict!
That also went into a small dish in the cage.
