When Sprout (was Bob) Met Chutney

Posted before about bringing Bob home as a possible new friend for Chutney. Well...after a week of having their cages next to each other, I let them meet today. Put them in the bathroom, with a big plate of food, and kept a very careful eye on them. Didn't go too badly, all things considered! The usual rumble strutting and mounting, but no actual aggression from either of them.

Only took a couple of photos. Did take a short video, but can't upload that right now. Chutney is the chocolate&tan and Bob is the black self. Well...his name was Bob. Have changed it to Sprout, since that fits the food name theme better!

They have had a nap together, yes. Hoping all continues to go well, though I'm well away that there's always a risk of them falling out.

Both guinea pigs look happy together,i count that they dont get on when they end up as one big furball ! which seems to happen to a fair few boar bondings i have done !

Considering this is the first bonding I've done (Chutney's old friend died last year), I'm quite surprised that I'm not a nervous wreck! But yes, they seem fairly happy, I agree!

Thank you! Yes, I do agree that bonding can be pretty tricky sometimes, but yes, it is nice that Chutney has a companion again!
