I was chilly last night and I hope the girls were snuggled in the straw nice and warm.

When do you start putting the snuggle heat pads in the hutches? I would start from tonight but I don't want them to not be warm enough in December /January if they get used to the warmth now.

It's like the old saying "you won't feel the benefit if you keep your coat on inside!"

Are they outside, outside in a shed or garage or inside? It all depends where they are now :) x

To true, l keep mine indoors , but as soon as the temp drops below 55f the heating is set to come on :tu:

Sorry I forgot that information! They are outside in insulated hutches full of straw. They've always lived outside and this is their 4th winter.

I know a lot of people keep their piggies in insulated hutches. It would be interesting to know what the actual temperature is in them overnight x

I know a few people on this forum who do monitor the temperature of their outside hutches. I never have myself. I really wish I could have them indoors but there is no place and they have been okay in the previous years :)
