MrsM
Senior Guinea Pig
Hi all
Sorry I haven't been very active for a while, I have been absolutely snowed under both at home and work... Just starting to get my head above water...
As you may know, we adopted baby Frank of Hels about 5 or 6 ago. He's lovely and quite cuddly once you can catch him! mallethead He and big boy Finlay seem to be getting on fine so all is rosey in the house of M.
The only trouble is, Frank thinks he can just wheek any time of day or night and he is so loud for such a small creature... Don't take me wrong, I'm not complaining that he does, but it is really loud. He's conditioned to wheek any (I mean ANY) time he hears the fridge door, the chopping board, rustling noises, etc... I am trying to get him used to not ahving food every time he does it so he can understand that he's not in charge of the feeding rota rolleyes.
I'd like to know what more experienced members think of this... Any similar experiences? Is he likely to calm down with age or should I buy shares at the local ear-plugs factory?
He behaves like a spoilt piglet... The difference between him and the kids I teach is that I can't reason with him... he'll wheek with his mouth full, usually hidden behind the pigloo mallethead, at any time (I'm sure he woke my mother up this morning...).
