Anyone know what this little brownish red bump on his ear is? Ik its probably just a nail swipe while scrating but just to be safe i wanna know what it is . Hes not in any sort of pain when i touch it or clean it and has no reaction20221230_210919.webp

Hi

Without hands-on access, we cannot tell you what it is exactly. Just keep an eye on it and see a vet if it gets worse or changes.
 
It's a bit fuzzy, but it doesn't look big and if he has no other symptoms (other scabbing etc) I'd just keep an eye on it for now. If he's accidentally caught himself while scratching it should clear up on its own. If it's the start of a skin infection of some sort it'll likely get bigger or bother him more. If he scratches at his ears a lot, or shakes his head, or especially if he develops a head-tilt, it might be a sign of inner ear infection, but remember healthy piggies do sometimes just scratch their ears generally like we do! The other thing is that sometimes piggies can actually get moles like people do, so it might just be something like a mole that sits there doing nothing!

He's a lovely boy! 💕 If you have more than one keep an eye on the other(s) in case similar scratches or crusting appear on them too, which will be more of an indication that its 'something' rather than nothing.

update!: it was a little scab he got from scratching his ear , he accidently scratched it again once but hes fine now and its all healed :)
