up until 3 days ago my 2 girls were getting on great O0,, then all of a sudden theyve become a bit hostile to eachother :-\. if they get too close to each other one starts a very loud vibrating noise and the other slowly crawls closer with stomach close to ground almost flat. they then come face to face and sometimes have a fight :o.sometimes one crawls slowly to back end of the other girl and then they turn to eachother and start trying to attack eachother >:(.. they are 12 weeks old. any ideas of whats happeneing it only happens when in the indoors cage, they are fine in outdoor run.. whats happening? :(

I'm sure someone with more experience will have a better idea but sounds like 1. they have hit teenagerdom so will need to resort out whose boss (not sure if same in girls or if just with boys though)
and 2. do they have enough indoor space? If they are fine outside then maybe they have more room to stay away from each other than when they are in the cage.

when outside they snuggle together..lol the indoor cage is plenty big enough as i took note about minimum size before buying a cage, i went for one bigger than minimum size.. only time they seem fina at moment inside is when they are eating

Haven't experienced this myself, but from reading other posts on here it sounds to me like they're probably just trying to sort out who's top pig! Girls do it as well as boys i think? Someone more experienced will be able to confirm.

Noises and general stomping is ok, just keep an eye on them and if they hurt each other intervene...

my old guinea-pigs used to do that a lot too and it was usually my older one doing all the rumbling, but yea they're just showing dominance and its just the norm for them to do that so no need to worry, the fighting shouldn't be a problem once they know where they stand with each other, unless in some cases u have to split them up which is what i had to do with my two. upsetting but its what u have to do to make them happy.

Like the other say they are jsut trying to figure out who is the Alpha piggie!

So long as no one gets hurt!.

It sounds like they've hit the teenage years. Dandylion is like that a lot, but Acorah just gets on with things

Once they get older they might do that- like someone said, trying to work out 'who's boss', or just having a little squabble. At the same time, I'd advise you to watch them- if one of them is a bit too dominant, the more passive one might not get enough food, obviously won't be very happy and might even get physically injured. I'm not saying this will happen at all- they sound like quite balanced little pigs normally :) But just keep an eye out. We had to separate our two late guineas, who were sisters, because Razzle had been a bit too territorial and Dazzle had been hurt. So yeah, normal assertion or just sibling squabbling, but if it becomes regular, don't be afraid to separate them.
