What's better 2 males or 2 females

I personally like boys more... :)

They are way more loving than girls...
They are way more forgiving than girls...
They have bigger characters...

There's nothing like big squishy boar cuddles...
:))

I wouldn't say one is better than the other, they're all individuals. What I would say is that there are a lot of bonded boar pairs in rescues that need loving homes so you'll probably get a bigger selection if you go for boars.

I'm not an expert but one thing I was told when I asked the same question was that boars generally need more room than sows. (This doesn't mean you can get away with a tiny home for sows though!) It's just something to consider if space is an issue.
Does this mean that you've decided to get a rescue bonded pair? :)

My boars are awesome but next time id go for all girls so I could have a big herd :-)

Sorry to hijack but is it mandatory to get your boars neutered if they will be housed together? I'm planning on getting a bonded rescue pair so this is purely out of curiosity, lol :)

Boys living together do not need to be neutered, boys living with girls do need to be snipped.

I currently own all boys, fostering a pair, own a pair and also have a single boar, so i've never experienced girls, but i love my boys to pieces,
I would say the only difference is that with boys, you stick to just 2, any more and you'll have problems where as with girls you can keep adding as long as they get on and within reason obviously,

We have one pair of boars which are very cheeky and another pair of sows (obviously in a separate cage) and they can be just as cheeky. I don't think people should go by the sex personally as they all need homes and each individual has a different personality-don't think it depends on the sex tbh- although the boars can be smellier than the girlies rolleyes
