Hello guinea pig form it come to my attention that my guinea pig
Doesn't really eat the pellets that we give him we have tried hay,
pellets and more kinds of food and he does not like them we have
tried a banana and he loved it but whats up with the other food
have any idea's?

If your Guinea pigs not eating it may be a sign they're unwell and need to see a vet. Pellets are not completely essential but hay and leafy greens are so if they're not eating these this is a problem.

Bannana is very high in sugar so is better than nothing but should be an occasional treat if given at all.

Some pigs are shy and don't like to eat infront of people. are they still not eating if the food is left in the cage when you're not in the room

:agr:

Do you weigh him weekly?
Hay and fresh grass is the most important part of the diet and they need to eat more hay than anything else. It needs to be around 75% of their daily food intake.
A variety of vegetables is next important so try to include plenty of leafy veg in their diet. About one cup per pig per day is needed. It amounts to around 20% of the daily food intake.
Fruit should not feature highly and is merely an occasional treat.
Pellets are the least important part at just 5%. Just one tablespoon per pig per day. Not eating pellets, in itself, is not a huge problem as long as piggy is eating plenty of hay, is otherwise well, and maintaining their weight well.
