I was going to make a C cage but I bid on some grids on ebay (not the mesh ones them plastic ones) as I want to build hay lofts and I won

If I score the correx at 2ft wide will that fit inside the grids?

Hi,

I would suggest that when you have built the outside of the cage, measure the inside, so you can have accurate measurements. And from what I have read, the sides should be around 6 inches high.

Hi

Build your cage first and then measure it. Then add twelve inches to the dimensions to allow for the sides

For example you have a hayloft that measures 30 inches by 30 inches you then want your correx to measure 42 inch square, this will then give you 6 inches for the sides - I hope this makes sense.

In my hay loft I have sides that measure 12 inches to stop the hay falling out

I decided that I am not going to the use the grids for the girls cage. I have made them a 6x2 pen using just correx. I am going to use the grids to build a hay loft in the boys ferplast 140 though! and use the grids as a hamster play pen
