Hi everyone, I am looking for a good and fairly accurate scale to use for weighing my boys. Any recommendations? Thanksđź’—đź’—

Most any kitchen scale will do! So long as it can measure in grams. I suggest a digital one.

I find analog scales kind of hard to use when what you're trying to weigh is wiggling around, pretty much negating any superior accuracy they might offer. That's just me though.

I'm blanking on what brand mine is right now, but I got it on Amazon for maybe $30 or so?

Also consider what kind of container you're going to put the pigs in while you weigh them. At the vet they'll sit there in those little shallow bowls out of fear and politeness. At home they'll wriggle right off and away if you don't pen them in!

Get something large enough to hold the pig but that won't block the scale display. A cardboard box with a lid or high sides is a good option.

I purchased my digital kitchen scale at walmart a few weeks back. Cooking isle (with kitchen utensils) will be the location for this.

I cannot recall the price but I want to say between 15-35 american dollars. My scale takes double or triple a batteries.

I use the kitchen scales too. I have two little plastic boxes and they sit in those, inside their cuddle cups. They mostly sit still enough to get a reading on the scales. I just have to remember to deduct the weight of the box & cuddle cup or I'd get a shock thinking they'd gained so much!

I use standard digital kitchen scales bought at a supermarket. I put the piggies in an old plastic mixing bowl for weighing.
