Hi as some of you know Murphy was neutered nearly a month back now his new wife is moving in on Tuesday. We cant wait as Murphy has been living alone inside since he came to us and I'm sure he has forgotten he is a Guinea Pig he sits and watches tele and last night opened the lounge door just like the cats do lol

I was wondering what to expect when i introduce him to Romey will he pester her and try to mount her? If so should i just let him?

With her only being 8 weeks he wont hurt her will he if he pesters her?

He has had run outs with my other girls for a few minutes and didnt really bother too much just lots and lots of squeaking.

I have only had experience of introducing girls as my boys came together. Just thought i would ask how other peoples introductions of neutered boars and little sows have gone.

Thanks Lindsay x

Each time I have put a new sow in with Damon he hasnt even seemed to notice! 98)

When I introduced Mini to Chewy we got some mounting and rumbling but it soon settled down.

Make sure you have somewhere that only his new wife can go and hide so she can get away from him if it gets too much for her ;)

When i introduced Bumble and Bee who were 3months to Ralfie i did it all properly, loads of space, neutral ground etc. Bee launched several 'kill bill' attacks on Ralfie and he went mental at her chattering ::) Felt really sorry for Bumble because she loves Ralf bless her! Anyway it just wasnt working! So when i got Sephy who was still a baby at 6 weeks i just thought if they're going to get on i'll know so i just rubbed a bit of his bedding on her and put her in his cage, she snuggled up to him straight away and cleaned him and he treated her like a little daughter :smitten: he'd protect her from me and no hanky panky or mounting etc :) i get the feeling its so much easier introducing babies so i think you'll be ok, a neutered boar and a sow make the best combination they just love eachother :smitten: i'm gutted i had to separate Ralfie and Sephy! Good luck :) x
