My Guinea pig has been sneezing for a little while now, exotics vets have ruled out URI (due to multiple courses of antibiotics and no other systems including other Guinea pig in same cage being fine!)… so I decided further tests needed to be done… they took swabs of his nose etc.
results have come back clear , although inflammation in nostril.
Vet has said possible piece of hay stuck in his nose.
However they have also suggested a CT scan to make sure it’s not anything else.
He will need to be sedated, but should I ask next for camera up his nose and for them to treat accordingly if something up his nose or CT first (which they suggested).. it is so expensive and I have to travel an hour to them.
I just don’t know what to do and would like past experience with this as I’m just so worried!
