so this a.m. The girls are tearing around the cage, Honeybell is squeaking like crazy, Lulu Lemon is making a chattering sort of noise and rumblestrutting ( I think that is such a cute word!) but then they both start popcorning like crazy. Then they stop and eat and Lulu will tuck her front feet up and stand on her back legs but parallel to the floor and shake her whole body....what does it all mean?! Thanks!

Lulu is canvassing for the spot of top lady, Honeybell has accepted that she is #2 (squeaking when Lulu forces the issue).

They also squeak for food when they hear rustling or fridge doors moving in the kitchen.

Popcorning means that they are happy and have lots of excess energy.

And after all those exertions, a piggy needs a porper piggy clean! Here is a pic of Nia having a piggy wash. Usually they twist round and pick their vitamin C poos straight from the source at the same time.

Dominance behaviour; Lulu Lemon is reminding Honeybell that she's the boss and girliest pig and Honeybell is protesting that she's being chased. That she's not rumbling back and is running away means she's showing Lulu Lemon that, yes, yes, she knows Lulu Lemon is the girliest pig.

Popcorning is a sudden burst of energy in piggies that they do both when they are absolutely delighted, but sometimes when they are irritated. They had just finished re-establishing and reminding each other of their hierarchy, maybe they felt accomplished

She's shaking herself. Then again, she could have been staging a pig performance of the Herbal Essences ad "Look at me, Honeybell - I'm saxy and I'm dominant!"
